Electroplating

Anyone ever had bicycle parts electroplated? Interested in the cost of this too if anyone has ideas? Chromed frames look hot.

Anyone done copper or bronze plated frames? I was toying with copper plating my Claud Butler and letting it age and go all dark greeny brown like the rivets on my Brooks.

Might look horrible though.

i have done plenty of chrome plating fo bicycle restorations and motorcycles, copper plating gives a very interesting appearence particulary when it is pollished with brasso, get it plated and try it

Reckon a copper frame would brilliant if kept polished, if not polished I expect it'd look cack, then possibly look brilliant again if not cleaned for long enough that it goes green.

Guys, I'm looking to get a frame re-finished in silver - is chrome plating the only option? ie: are there other finish options that produce a silver/chrome look? Does it also have to be clear-coated etc?
