The offer of the size 9's has been gratefully accepted.
There is another runner who needs size 8's to stop him running in knackered converse copies. Your generosity is appreciated.
I will update Tue thread with more info about the charities and the run so people know what they're potentially giving to.

this is the info, feel free to donate or not donate, this is not an invitation to discuss the merit of their work. Thanks again.
Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers has been supporting asylum seekers and refugees in south London for 15 years. It provides hot food, advice sessions, and ESOL and ICT classes along with other creative and therapeutic activities three times a week to about 200 people per week.
Due to funding pressures and the enthuiasm of its clients and volunteers SDCAS is organising and involved in a number of fundraising events over the next few months, included the British 10k London Run on 10th July. A number of our clients, who survive on £35 per week (IN LONDON!) are kindly running to raise money for the centres but can't afford the vital footwear. Information on upcoming events will soon be available at www.sdcas.org.uk and SDCAS Facebook Page. Any help you can offer would be so very greatly appreciated.

I also hava a pair of New Balance which are heavy but comfy, these may be a 10 though.

Cheers Hobo, I may take you up on that if I can't get any 8's
A friend works for a charity and one of her clients is training for a sponsored 10k run. He doesn't have any money and is currently having to train in donated trainers that are far too big for him (they are 11 and he needs 9)
Might anyone have a spare pair of size 9 trainers (mine are size 11 unfortunately) they would be willing to part with for free? It would make a big difference to someone who doesn't have very much.
Please PM me if you can help or want to know more about the situation before helping.
