You sure you dont want to do it on the Sunday? Or Monday?

ChainBreaker: can only do Sat – sorry – but early depart (7-7.30am) so would not use up too much of your day

been vaguely playing with the idea of riding to Dagenham purely to see The Pool, but from what I hear it's a horrible ride. Anyone wanna wanna come and/or knows a good route for Saturday afternoon or Sunday? [selling this well I know...]

I was planning to go to Daggers but on the train with Cisco. Bought a bmx by the way...

You can put a decent route together using mostly canal towpaths and the greenway thing from the east ride which goes out to the north circular. Past that, I don't know. I can share a 'leisurely' route I have taken through there if you like. I know Southwark cyclists often do a ride to rainham marshes which might also be useful...missmouse might know more about that...

hmmmm...I've discovered that I haven't actually mapped that route out because it was from the olden days before I became anal and plotted everything I did in some route mapping software.

But I can try and explain it, failing that I will try and plot it, otherwise I might join you if I have nothing better to do ;)

From London Bridge, I would go down katherine's way and turn off by wapping high street, and onto the 'spirit quay'. Follow it round to shadwell, then along the thames path and up the limhouse cut, which is a nice towpath. Then up through three mills, onto that busy road by the Olympic site and then onto the greenway, all the way to beckton. I don't know that road, but when I have crossed the A13 there is some smurfway alongside it which might be quite fun since it runs next to the highway :) Could maybe use that. My knowledge of them parts ends there. Most of the bits I have mentioned are off road but are rather pleasant.

I don't think that there's anything more planned, it's just open doors now. I know what you mean, I've only had a bmx for a week so I'm not gonna ride it. But I just really want to see it and thought a ride there might be fun anyway...
