I was trying to make you feel better by saying that it wasn't some kind of weird internet L33T speak, not critique your perceived lack of cultural knowledge. I don't get offended by lack of cultural/general knowledge, mainly because if I did, I'd be a busy man...

I didn't mention my annoyance at people's mistakes in French, that was Oliver Shick. He is also an expert in English and German. Apparently. Actually I had a go myself, although my French is bad, so I'm sure I was one of the people he was talking about. I'm not French.

I can't come to SEs tonight because I have important stuff to do, I would like to clarify this is not a slight against anyone before anyone misinterprets it...

I think we've long since established that my intellect runs on the lower side of average, not to mention my lack of culture.

I fear that it must be difficult for you to get through life if you get so easily shocked and/or offended by other people's lack of knowledge. I do recall you mentioning your annoyance to people's mistakes when writing in french recently. Strangely this didn't bother me at all. I was actually amused and also impressed with peoples efforts seeing that (from what I know) nobody actually has french as their first language.
I do so look forward to conversing with you in french as I presume you must be fluent. Are you indeed french? I do so miss speaking french these days and it would be lovely to speak to an expert, I am sure I can learn great things from you!

As for the beers comment, no that had nothing to do with you.
