Those Schwalbes are £30 posted before trekking across the Himalayas mate. Sorry.
Also, I'm not sure it counts as only used once because you haven't taken them off. :-/

Hello
Can you point out where can you get a pair of Marathon XR's in 26x2.0 folding for £30? They are notoriously hard to get hold of; currently only place I can find them in stock online is the cyclewarehouse, at £37.78 each. Nextdaytyres has them at £28.99 each, but out of stock.
Perhaps I misunderstand you, or you're mixing these up with one of the other Marathon models or sizes?
Used once, or many times, your choice - I've explained what use they've had, the condition they are in and supplied a pic where you can see the moulding pips on the tread. Is there a problem with how I have described them?

Ah out of stock. It just struck me as pricey for £5 cheaper than new ones after they've done a lot of miles.
I took in jest when you said they've only been used one as you've been honest about the distance. All good Jon, just a bit pricey I thought. Someone else might be interested though so good luck with your sale. -

To be clear, a pair of xr's new will cost you £75 (perhaps £60 if you believe the out of stock prices). I'm selling this pair for £35
I still don't follow why you think this is pricey?

They're heading that way - the famous LFGSS XR's; the tyres that I should be paying someone to remove from my house it seems :)

If those Schwalbe were like 1.4". 2" is to slow for me, as my touring will be to the local shop through the forest for beers.

Happy to take a hacksaw to them, and trim them down to 1.4 for you (on receipt of the funds of course) :)
Two sets of heavy duty tyres for the commute, tour or crossing of your favourite 5000m high mountain range.
A pair of Schwalbe Marathon XR's in 26x2" folding. The tyre of choice for expedition cycling and have been used only the once, albeit a crossing of the western Himalayas, so show minimal signs of wear (people report 15-20,000 km's out of a set of these tyres). The ultimate unbreakable commuting tyre. £35 collected
A pair of Conti travel contacts in 26x1.75 folding. Conti's version of the xr with a smooth centre section. These have been used twice (across Syria and across Tibet!) and again are in almost new condition - still have moulding pips and bumps across the centre section. £25 collected
All in Belsize Park, London. pm me if interested!
Cheers
Jon
