1st bit of advice - if it's a conversion don't cut off any of the attachments (dérailleur boss, outer cable bosses etc)
2nd - don't colour code the bike - blue chain, rims, bar tape etc. Matching bar tape and saddle looks nice.
Or you could build the bike however you want.
