  • just took a look at the map. you pretty much exactly followed the route I take. only two things of note is

    1. Pier road in gillingham from mile 30-32.5 is a busy (most of the time) dual carriageway. probably ok in a big group of 40 people but personally I would cut up brompton road and through the gillingham back streets but then I know the area and its probably easier to try and keep it simple with such a big group.

    2. from mile marker approx 59-60 the left hand fork which appears to go down to a dead end off the b2205 (Marine crescent) if you go down there, from there on down, there is a sea path pretty much all the way down to herne bay. might cut a little off the distance and is definately a bit prettier. only problem is the path is that concrete that your wheels goes thunk over every 10 feet as its in sections. and the path is probably comfortably for 4 cyclists wide but with people with dogs using it it might get a bit crowded...ill leave it up to you

    ill ride your route down (from mine) with my different sections sometime early june and upload the route with pics of the sea path e.t.c
