A family friend did the classic cliché of trading his wife in for a younger model. He'd already had 3 kids and a vasectomy. The new wife wanted to have his babies, but he didn't, so he went to the doctor and asked what the likelyhood of it working was. The doctor said at his age (+50ish I think) almost no chance....
...so he got it reversed for an easy life.
9 months later, twins.
