Fucking freak.
Beat me to it.

Fixed/single-speeds are ideal for us south-paws. At least we don't have to change gear all the time with the wrong hand. They should produce left-handed groupsets.

Anyone know what causes this weird way of writing left-handed people do? Is it because we write left-to-write or are their brains just wired to make everything really difficult?
I read somewhere (probably on tinterweb so must be true) that the hook was due to not wanting to smudge the wet ink that had just been left on the paper.

Yep, this. I'm left handed. Can't use a fountain pen, just end up smudging the ink. Biro ftw.

I'm left handed but quite ambidextrous
-
• #34
same here. fork in left-hand, knife in right; 'properly'. can't play the guitar, but if I pick one up it's as a right-handed person would. confusing business.
-
• #35
I air guitar left handed, but can play a right handed guitar, use scissors in my right and er I'm right footed
-
• #36
I'm entirely left-footed, my right is useless. Use a computer mouse in my right hand, in the left it feels alien. Shake hands with somebody with my right hand. Wank with my left.
-
• #37
I wank with the right and eat a packet of crisps with the left.
Weird innit?

• #38
At the same time?

Don't be so vulgar!

Just found this thread, lefties unite! Yeah!
We had to use ink pens in my school so I developed 'the hook' but when I left and could use sensible pens I slowly taught myself not to make such a disgusting looking shape. Yet when writing quickly I still revert back to ye old claw, muscle memory I suppose?
The thing about left-handed people being more creative is not true though, in my art school there are bugger all.

creative people?

If it's good enough for Special Agent Dale Cooper, it's good enough for me.

Scum. Sub-human scum.

Chap I used to know at college was left handed, he was an extremely talented figurative artist, and terrible cunt of a person.
My mother saved a clip from the Hampshire Chronicle which had an article on him- apparently he went to live with some tribe in equatorial Guinea, and they tried to kill him.
I read it with no surprise- just slight amazement that they botched the job.
Oh- point of this wandering post is that he was (and probably still is) a lefty.

James Martin is left-handed.

That's it then- they're all tainted, best to deport the lot of them.
-
• #48
When they deport them, i hope the boat is late and the toilet smells bad.

Another left handed winner here! I don't know about you other lefties but one of the things that pisses me off most about being left handed is when you have a nice mug with something cool printed on it and we lefties can never see it as it's always facing away from you if you hold your mug in the left hand!

When I first started to write, I used my left hand but luckily my primary school would not tolerate left handedness and so I was "encouraged" to use my right hand. I am so lucky. I could have been one of them.
Sinister brothers!
Lefties have a shorter life expectancy in all countries except one, I guess due to lefties trying to use fucking right hand scissors after being told on a forum that left hand scissors are stupid, and then stabbing themselves through the eye to remove the feelings of annoyance and inadequacy forced upon them because of the majority.
And we're not supposed to charge in polo. (I'm fighting that one though... Looking for 2 lefties willing to play in the league next winter to help me fight it, just pm me ;)
