leaf out of Lee and Dave's book, video analysis they call it!....open the video file in a decent editor and it has a time sequence built into the file, there are 25fps so it's accurate to 0.04 seconds (possibly more accurate than a handheld stopwatch?).....haha!
first league race on Wednesday.....reckon I can get down to 13, I was in SPD shoes with an 86" gear....the slowest qualifying times from 2009 Sprinter's Cup was a 12.04, Nimke did an 11.58 and Forstermann a 10.99....if the turnout is low this year (say 16) I might be up against one of them!....haha....in reality all the juniors are gonna trash me on Weds.....but I might enter the sprinter cup for a laugh and maybe take the rigs along.
It's a bit bumpy, but you don't really notice, better than many in the UK at least, concrete is a confidence inspiring surface on a 250m track, (it's amazing how slow you can go on the bends) given this the banking could be a bit steeper, imagine sprinters might find it hard coming over the top, apparently its 38.18 degrees...nice profile out of the bends, good slingshot despite the straights being relatively steep, at least compared to this new Bournemouth track....from what I've seen from pics.
