  • It's probably worth checking the threads on the shoes and the cleat bolts.

    All solid and correct.

    Might be worth checking the rubbery oval thing that pops through the cleat and rests on the pedal.

    In the past I have had trouble with the rubbery thing moving and causing movement between cleat and pedal.

    Everything looks right and sits flush with the sole of the shoe (Sidi Genius 5), just with a 1mm gap between the front of the cleat and the pedal, where the arrow points below. When I take the shoes off and clip them in I can see the gap and wiggle it vertically.
