  • ^^ Yeah that is a little greedy, Looking at half a grand after shipping too.

    Anyone know who got this?
I would have gone for it if it were clinchers, but still they got a bargain.

  • thought id share this: Giant Gios fixie, 75cm frame

  • Kiron Carbon/Scandium Road Bike: £700.00 BIN, 54cm

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190534691739&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123

Not that cheap, but looks mint, might be worth a phone call to see what the reserve is. Good quality alu and carbon frame.

  • before posting the bike, I expected it to sell for that amount at the most. Nicer bikes have gone for less. If people have a higher fixed amount that they want, they should sell their bikes elsewhere were they can avoid the ebay fees or strip for parts. Now that he knows your willingness to pay, he'll probably have one of his mates bid on it.

yea, thats what i thought, and the reason i didn't make an offer already. But a fellow forumonger said make him an offer - so i sent what i thought was a properly realistic one, expecting a yes please.

If his friend bids that amount, and no-one else outbids though, he will be left with some ebay fees and still have the bike, so his loss really.

He seemed pretty nice though, he did suggest it may go for less, and if it does, il put that bid in.

I like big frames but even I will say that that one was beaten with the ugly stick on an ugly day.

  • what's wrong?

surely it should be cm, not mm? nothing disastrous ha

  • wow,

i don't get this. a friend of mine calls me and says; they are talking about you again on lfgss.com, ppl are putting comments on my flickr pictures. guys I've not been here since months, i don't buy or active sell on this forum accept react on ppl who are looking for frames or parts. i'm not going to excuse myself for what i do, i buy and sell via marktplaats a public place where you and i can buy and sell, i don't force ppl to sell there stuff to me nor buy stuff from me. you guys use this great forum to get your cheap buys . but don't treat me like i'm a scam, i sell great stuff for good prices, you get the parts what you pay for and i have a lot of satisfied customers in Holland on this forum and all over the world. and yes i did made my mistakes starting a year ago, sorry for the ppl who i "hurt" with that. but can we now go on and use this treat for what its meant for, to put you're ebay and marktplaats finds.

now, lets all have a great ride today!!!

Indeed there is nothing wrong with buying and selling via a public 2nd hand place such as marktplaats. making a business out of buying stuff one day and selling it the next on a different site is plain lame tho. A shame for cycling enthusiasts with 1. not too much money to spend or 2. looking for bikes/parts they have been wanting for a long time, which are not for sale in shops anymore. People who are actually going to RIDE/USE these parts/bikes. Imo it's a damn shame these people in Holland miss out on stuff because someone jumps on everything within a minute, and later sells it on for twice the price on some international site.

For the scam part i remember some ''track hubs'' that were for sale which were actually old screw on casette road hubs with a bottom bracket lockring on them. ;)

  • This advert once translated is pretty amusing, also really cheap, and pretty cool.

forget it, being on the devil's page is enough

My thought exactly.. I (and enough other guys) gave enough reasons already and i don't want to stretch this discussion here on lfgss. Hopefully Sape gets the points being made.

    Cheers

  • Love it

    Fork ruins it for me.

  • ^^

    10 speed front mech

    :o

  • he didn't, he asked me to make an offer.

I didn't wanna blow to soon so i started at £450 expexting him to bunk up a little, but he was just like, no, thats way off.

I'm gonna watch the auction and see how it pans out.

    Are you all mad?
On ebay that bike won't sell for more than that. That's 510 euro,
he's lucky to get 500. Seriously, it's an UNKNOWN track frame with
nice bits on it, nothing to go fainting for. The seller is being dumb.
Hope you get for less than that now Louis.

  • What's peoples general procedure after winning an ebay, but not topping the reserve price?
