Love coffee? Ever wanted to check out some of London's best speciality coffee houses?
The weather is looking pretty decent for this Saturday and so I'm going to ride around London and explore the best speciality coffee (and a couple of cycle cafés) around town.
Meeting at 11am at Federation Coffee, Brixton Market (MAP) and following mostly cycle routes or quieter streets around London.
We'll start by riding past the Velodrome through Dulwich up to Crystal Palace and coming back down through to Forest Hill to Browns of Brockley. Then up to Monmouth's roastery in Bermondsey and over Tower Bridge to Nude Espresso (or their Roastery if open) off Brick Lane, heading east out the Olympic stadium taking Cycle Superhighway CS2 to the Container Cafe & The Counter, then riding along the canal to Lock 7 and Towpath, up to Tina, We Salute You, then a nice climb up Swains Lane and then through Hampstead Heath to Ginger & White, and finally all the way back to Look Mum No Hands for beer, possibly stopping at Prufrock or St. Ali if we feel like it.
It's a good opportunity to try out other coffee drinks and brewing methods that you might not normally do.
Depending on the day we may skip ones that are clustered quite close to each other in the east end, or possibly finish up at The Flask in Hampstead for drinks instead. We can play it by ear obviously.
Overall it's going to be a pretty chilled out day and ride, with good company, coffee, cake, pastries, and beer.
