ti glides are from the 90s generally and at one point were considered bin fodder, I got a few of them for free in early 00s but now they are 'retro classics' and go for quite a bit, hence the price.
I've ridden a pair of Ti glide (non discs on an MTB) of 1997 vintage from 2001-2010 a few thousand a year, half of that time geared, the other half SS, all original bearings, only thing that went wrong was 1 of the 3 freehub pawl springs snapped.
Hope were very sorry that their 10year old hub spring had snapped and sent me 3 new ones out for free.
In short, hubs are good and you can't go wrong with an open pro rim. And for £35? Get it. Get it now.
