Ickle Facom Bit Driver

  • Anyone got on views on this?

Are bit drivers sensible on bikes, or will I struggle to get at bolts?

  • I have a teng set like this and use it on my motorbike

  • To actually answer your question, my view is that you would be better spending the money on a decent set of allen keys and a torque wrench with some allen bits.
Quite often when working on bicycles you have to switch quickly from a 4mm to 5mm and suchlike, it's easier to just pick another size than to fiddle with changing the end of a ratchet tool.

  • Thanks

  • I bought a little set like that purely to get the bit holding bar to attach to my torque wrench.

The little ratchet is quite handy for taking bits of the car apart, I don't use it on the bike.

  • But that is a seriously versatile piece of kit. Facom are good gear as is reflected by the £85 price.

Would I buy it if I was working on stuff everyday? Yes.

Once in a blue moon? Nah.

    Nice tool porn though.
