Are people being serious about those campag stickers? I just scratched about 7 of those exact same buggers off a road frame that someone had gone slightly over-zealous on. I don't think they make it a collector's piece...

Which is why maybe an old pair of stickers, that may not be repros, on a frame with a pristine paint job, may make everyone go...ooohh..
when I restored my mini, there was a sticker in the back window that completely finished it off...the sticker added maybe £500,...really .

That track RIH sold to the same bloke who just spent around £600 buying his latest track frame. Which demonstrates that your argument fails to notice that in the past two years the price of track frames has raised massively, and that this frame is relatively rare and in near perfect condition, and a lovely collectors piece with the those campag stickers.
That said I doubt it will sell for that much, particularly here.
If he decides to spend twice as much on a (totally different) track frame then I don't know what that proves-he's got a better job in the meantime, been saving his pennies? Equally dubious logic to comparing a non-track RIH, IMHOP.
Beautiful looking frame yes, Campagnolo stickers are nice, but hardly make it a collectors item, and for 600 I think you would be doing far better for the money, even on evilBay.Feel sorry for Tee-thread totally shat on... prob best to fire it on Ebay and see what the market's willing to pay?

300-400€ I guess, if he finds an austrian buyer, who´s really interested.

I think it's too expensive as well, but we'd have to stick it on eBay to verify it.
Maybe when is warmer and hipsters end their winter hibernation.. -

In the last two years? 4 years ago riding a track frame was a cheap way to get a good bike that would enable you to do some mileage.
Thanks to people wanking on about rarity etc. and generally being poseurs it is now an expensive way to get a shit bike.
eBay the frame, it's not that precious. -

Indeed. Also there was something about the frame, the owner did some research and was able to roughly determine the age, I seem to remember from 1960's but don't quote me on that.

NICE!
Lol I'm gonna stick my 3 RIH frames all on Yahoo Japan, hussln like Rick Ross. -

Now .. It's hardly a 'completely different' frame, is it :)) Both 531, both same era, both campag dropouts. Fair enough, a track frame might fetch more, but how much more ... certainly not twice as much, 4 times as much is in taking-the-piss territory, especially since it didn't even sell at less than 1/4th the price.. on eBay (which has a much wider audience than this forum), from a reputable seller, with a million HQ pics.
Also, i hope you both clicked on the second link up there. it's a track RIH, with a BB/HS, and a campy front wheel, mavic rear wheel, and it was sold for less than half this. 2 years ago.. when track frame prices were higher than they are today.
