so when I had the chat with Murts and Darren when the Pear Tree was new/shiny for LFGSS wests - it was made clear to all concerned that it was probably the LFGSS Wests 'winter pub' and not best for the summer due to the lack of river / huge garden / whatever other reason sprung to mind.
it's good you are all sticking to the script :)
(It was also a pretty new pub in the area at the time - the evolution into a pretty popular place for the local populace has changed the other things. such is life.)
