Well that was alright!
Nice turnout in the end - by my count 15 riders in 3 groups?
Lovely to meet new faces. My legs are about to explode - I knew I should have taken that 60kg rack off :)

Great day, super to meet everyone. Cracking seafood fest - I <3 Mersea Island! Well done for the idea CYOA and cheers for navving us out there Braker. We headed back into a howling headwind and called it a day at Mountnessing, where our Sam had parked his car. About 95 miles all up. Shower and beer going down very well.

Yeah, absolutely top work from braker leading us safely to Maldon.

Thanks for a great day everyone - particularly those responsible for the organisation, which I inevitably failed to help with, CYOA, Braker etc... Lovely to meet everyone else too.
I have sunburn and smell of fish. I also have a crappy phone pic of some impromptu station sunbathing, with simultaneous drainage bottle poking...

This was great fun, thanks for organising it. I was so chuffed we caught up with you guys after missing you in Maldon.
Next time I am not going to work a 9 hour shift in the pub the night before a ride.. that headwind nearly killed me on the way back.

Great stuff, food, company, and ride. +1 on the ride back being hard work, I was glad to see that water tower a few miles from Kelvedon, I'd done enough climbing by then. Need to get much fitter in time for the Dunwich Dynamo.

Sorry I had to bail at Maldon, but glad to see everyone got to the restaurant.
Nice ride out in glorious sunshine... pretty windy on the way back, though. It was like riding through soup.

Great ride, thanks CYOA for organising it.
I think my favourite bit (strangely) was the full bellied, slightly tipsy, headwind ride back to Maldon.
Nick some how managed to ride up the hill into Maldon, while Amy and I just about managed to walk up it!
