weirdly, it was fine. feels odd for the first 5 minutes while you adjust but it's not too bad as you're sort of pre-warmed up. i made a BIG mistake and drank too much isotonic orange goo drink in the ride as fought a stitch for the first lap and the urge to barf for the second. if it hadn't been for that i think i would have been able to push it well under 30 mins. as it was, it was actually my fastest ever 5k!
