If 'we' don't like the ship then can we at least have some kind of democratic vote / Wests-on-Tour as I for one am not a huge fan of the Peartree.
Anyone been to the Curtains Up in Barons Court? I haven't been but it looks nice. Not sure it has a beer garden but is on a corner and has tables outside.
Curtains UpOr maybe the Atlas in Earls Court?
The AtlasOr the Raven in Stamford Brook? Big Beer Garden by the looks of it...
The RavenOr The Andover Arms near Ravenscourt Park?
The Andover ArmsOr the Havelock Tavern near Kensington Olympia?
The Havelock TavernSo there's a few options that we could try. I havent been to any except the Atlas so feel free to tell me they're crap if you've been.
Think I'd second that - Peartree is just too small and there's no sun in the evenings in that tiny garden. I reckon The Raven, Curtains Up OR The White Horse again... huge outside area with cover in bad weather or the whole of Parsons green to lark about on in good weather. And before anyone says a word - its no more expensive than any other pub if you go for the normal drinks

Wrong side of The Thames.
Although, personally not bothered by it and always like the odd trip to The Bricklayers
Bricklayers is pretty fucking good... + a good sized beer garden and decent beers. Either that or outside the Dukes Head for a bit of riverside drinking.

i think we covered most pubs in a suitable area
We have tried some suitable pubs. There are probably loads more that we don't know about and need to search out. I seem to recall that the only reason we know about The Greyhound is GreasySlag found it by accident and the only reason we know about The Peartree is through Alien who lives near it.
Neither of them look particularly promising on google maps.
You think they're the only ones?
Maybe we could do a recce around some potentials? Perhaps a little pub crawl around 5 or 6 possible pubs that we haven't been to before / would like to check out again? We have a huuuge area to play with which includes Fulham, Parson's Green, West Brompton, Earls Court, Kensington Olympia, West Kensington, Holland Park, Shepherds Bush, Hammersmith, Stamford Brook, Chiswick, Ravenscourt Park, Brook Green & more.
Are you seriously telling me there are no suitable pubs in this whole area? I think it unlikely...

Murt-squirtz - would you be joining us on this recce? Or do you wash your hands of the whole thing?
It would be cool if we could meet up at The Peartree on Thursday for a swift half or 2 and then head off around seven or so to look at a few potentials, maybe ending up back at the Peartree, depending on how things go? Anyone bedwetters who didn't fancy the recce could remain at the PT :PThoughts?
