VeeVee! Where did you get those Mavic 3/4? I've got the shorts version, and they are by far and away the most comfortable shorts I've ever had! Like you say, comfortable waist (sort front, not digging in elastic) and the mesh in the back means you don't get a super sweaty lower back (which is problem for me, it seems to be the hottest part of my body for some reason! I really want some 3/4. My long thighs seem to make shorts+knee/leg warmer combo difficult.
On the bag front, I don't seem to have the boob problem (and they're not little! haha), but I think I seem to wear my messenger bag much higher than most girls? I wear the strap across the top of my boobs, which also means it seems to move around less? I don't get on with backpacks on the bike, they dig into my arms/shoulders.
One last thing, I just got a couple of Twin Six jerseys from alwaysriding.co.uk (who are really nice to deal with, and gave me a discount for no reason!) They are lush! really nice bright colours, and super comfortable fit. Nipped at the waist, and no elastic at the bottom, so actually flattering too! Super soft, and half price in the sale! hehe. So just passing on the recommendation!
