Minimal clearance - how?

It would attract the rim closer to the crown of the fork. You'd want to remove the magnet when the wheel isn't being turned or the wheel would turn egg shaped

Man you guys sure know your stuff, I ain't ever heard of this happening!
How much are the magnets? It seems cheaper than getting someone to cut down the forks
