  • this season in scotland has been nasty lots of grief, any one here with more knowledge of why this season has been particularly nasty? the leannon incident is bad, i know lennon is a feisty character who does stirs up grief but it seems to be getting wosre this year???

    Hearts ST holder.

Lennon was always hated by a mixture of fans. Some of that is because of who he is, some of it because of how he is, some because of his whining about the referees and so on.

I think this season has been bad because of the refereeing "scandal" when celtic claimed there was a conspiracy against them - despite getting a UK record 17 penalties this season.

The media have been desperate for a story and have whipped this into a frenzy.

Politicised celtic fans groups have been stirring things with a degree of internet/media savvy and have been able to paint themselves as whiter than white. 90 minutes of IRA chanting last night shows that they're not "the greatest fans in the world" as they claim...Example being today's statement by the Celtic CEO "This is Scotland's shame and it is high time Scotland addressed it." while failing to address the behaviour of their own fans. Meanwhile anyone who speaks out against them is labelled "Bigot."

Rangers fans have been up to their usual sickening nonsense and are in huge debt with a massive HMRC bill due. They feel threatened.

    Societal and Economic problems.

SO it's been a heady brew of all that and more.
    :)

  • fair play, maybee its he English media grabbing at what they can i just hope that scotland football can regain it place above the media frenzy as it far better than that. i guess as you say its the ploliticised bits that raise up and are deeply untasteful, but it will always be a part of scottish club football.

It's even worse with the Scottish media.

We've always felt that it would be a club outwith the old firm who would get hammered for sectarianism, despite their antics, because basically they ARE the media.

Can't stand the pair of them. Two cheeks of the same spotty arse.

  • You have to hand it to religion. It gets it hideous tentacles into all aspects of life. These people are retarded

  • Saw the Forest v Swansea game last night. The Forest keeper had an amazing game, apparently he used to live in Southgate and some of my poker mates used to know him

  • Camp has been like that all season great keeper.

We should have killed that tie off last night, great opportunity with them down to 10 men.

They play such good football and keep the ball so well.

It is still anyone's on Monday but I can't help but feel we should have pressed home the advantage.

  • Lee Camp

  • You're right, I'd much rather have Stephen Bywater in goal.

(unfortunately Murdoch has purged the Claire Tomlinson video from the interweb)

  • I wanted him gone as soon as we got Frank Fielding in (the first time). He's a bellend.

    Serious Forest question:
Do you fancy your chances, a little bit?

    In the second leg?

No, not even a little bit. Swansea are a great side in all fairness. Even if we did make it to the final we'd still bottle it.

  • I think you might do it, I know technically everyone else in the playoffs is better/you think they're better. But Billy can be lucky and when he's your manager you love him.

To be honest, the EPL is over-rated.
    #not bitter
    #it still hurts

  • If we did go up I'd be happy with 12 points. Although that's optimistic.

  • Bitter realism at the coal face of football.

  • I always wonder about the relevance of stuff like this.
#they don't like it up them

  • Precisely my point.
    #blimmin forrens

    I do a lot!

I have seen enough of us this season to know we can beat anyone on our day. Even when we play shit we create chances.

Our record against Swansea this season is W1 D1 L1 so nothing in it head to head.

I would like to see McKenna dropped and Moussi back in the side on Monday I would also drop Earnshaw for Tudgay, he brings other people into the game more than Earnie. Earnie was quite wasteful yesterday.

  • Cup Final day. The sun always shines on Cup Final day. Not sure how people are going to get to the match as they seem to have closed pretty much most of the North Circular. It took me 1 hour to go half a mile yesterday.

Course you did Harry. I tell you what, why don't you keep your twitching gob shut for a while? Because your scared Suarez will score a hat-trick against you?
