Sorry to disapoint dan but chatting to security last night this guy has sprung two D lock (not sure on brands) with a bar over the past 6 months. Generally he favours cables though, wears a long coat with bolt cutters hung inside. Sounds pretty organised appears to know what he wants and what he is doing.
Maybe some new breed from another city... I will however be buying a chunky D lock this weekend! And that knitting needle idea is sick, makes me want to through up thinking about it.
