  • I have a suspicion that she just can't win clean. Look at those pictures.

  • I have a suspicion that years of racing in British conditions has meant that she has superior handling skills to most of her rivals, hence the ability to win when it's muddy.

  • Chiara Shokite; I was enchanted by her, enjoy this .

  • Ah!...

The reason for the "foggy" backround was they had just done the official opening ceremony with laser and smoke effects...Just waht you want when your about gon anerobic for a two lap efforts...

    Nice shot.

For some reason the background in this one made me think of Manet, some sort of Tyndall Effect in common

  • Blimey, yes I viewed the vid - I need to get off my lazy a... & get on the bike again...
That lass was enormous encouragement, thanks!

  • Glad you liked it. Explore the other soundscapes on there as well. There's a nice one of two women tourists in the 09 trip around Britain. I love the Norfolk ones as I know some of the people and all the places.

  • I like how Chiara didn't kit-up for it, but gloves at least...

Paul Smith one is pretty interesting. Just assumed he must have been one of them fashion lot... serves me right for my prejudices!

    Lots of name dropping though!

  • Spotted on Prolly:

Ever wonder how carbon fiber race machines are made? Well, Panaracer, the tire company, visited TIME's facilities in Lyon, France. There's a great gallery of images up on Panaracer's Facebook so go check them out. I found this photo's caption interesting:

"Interestingly, only women are hired to handle the carbon fibre at TIME. Each frame is hand woven and studies have proven women do a better job in the wrapping process than do men."

    Wow.

  • and they're cheaper too!

I don't think Time's method is typical, they use resin transfer moulding whereas everybody else uses pre-preg

    This.

Anyone thats made a reinforced concrete wall, will know how much faff it is to make sure the concrete fills all the viods, and covers the reinforcing bars perfectly. Now imagine the same process but with hundreds of thousands of intricatly woven carbon threads instead of steel bars. Far trickier to pull off properly, than pre-preg molding.

Same goes for application of decals.

  • I just wandered into the forum this morning & viewed this vid.........................................................
