  • Ta, will order one in to test and see how it feels.

  • Would a Fuji Classic Junior track bike (43cm) for a woman 5ft tall be too small? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    thanks

  • Have a look at the following thread - there's a lot of info that may be of use..

  • Cheers Aroogah

  • would also like to hear some reviews of this bike, been looking into upgrading from a classic track to one of these. want an out and out track bike for riding round town (i know it makes no sense but its what i want)

  • hillbilly rides the slightly older version of this and he swears by it. good solid bikes

  • my classic in yellow (silver was sold out)

the front forks are fooking shocking the welds are terrible.
can anyone recommend a different fork setup ,preferably with a really tight clearance.

  • Yellow and blue ones look a little bit cheap, does enybody have real life pictures of the 2011 silver one ?

  • Have ordered it in - so assuming I testride one of the things today or tomorrow any particular feedback you're after mk1mark? Will see what I can do.

  • I have one and I'm 5'2" and it's not too small. Really like the 650c wheels for a fixed gear as there's absolutely no chance of toe overlap. Also seems to accelerate better and go up hills more smoothly due to the smaller wheels.

Only tires/tubes are a bit of a pain to come by but Continental and Michelin do some good ones.

  • Know this is a bit old, but I have to add that I have a fuji classic track with both brakes. They're tight but they're fine.

  • actually my fuji classic track came with both brakes. Ok i had to mount them (promax brakes), but I had no problems at all doing it. And they're normal (cheap) brakes. I was used to hydraulic brakes (I always rode mountainbikes...).....then I can't really understand if this is the feeling of classic cable brakes, or if it's the brakes on my bike that are such shit. It's like squeezing pudding.

  • can anyone recommend a front brake for fuji 2010 frame.

  • @roger...it's the feeling of cable brakes combined with drop lever's. I can see why you're finding them annoying if you're used to hydraulic, but they're very good.

  • Anything 'dual pivot', and with quick release lever will be good. You can buy a single callipers here.

  • cheers boss :)

  • finally people with decent proper bicycles , im scott new to fixedgear and will be posting pics real soon

  • I got a Fiji feather a while back, looks really nice heavy as he'll though, just bought a nice 96 cavallo frame and it soo much lighter

  • Is that a bit like Celvin Klein underwear?

    ;)

  • looks good. might paint mine yellow.

  • as above hate the forks on my fuji, can anyone recommend a nice fork.
really like the style of the ones below if someone knows what they are

  • Do you need 1" or 1 1/8"?

^ this'll depend on the year of the bike.

  • 1 1/8 i believe it would be

  • yeah 1 1/8 i need
