• Condor Track Frame - Reynolds 531c

I'm selling a Condor Track frame that I bought on ebay but need the money for my new Colnago. The paint scheme is incredible, not sure what year it's from, will check the frame number tonight. The paint is a bit tatty but the frame is free from dents or dings of any kind. Last night I noticed what may or may not be a hairline crack in the bb lug. I will photograph detailed pics tonight - or if anyone wants to come and have a look, it's in Newington Green, N1. I would like to add that I'm not even sure if it's a hairline crack in the tubing or not, it could just be the paintwork that's cracked. After researching hairline cracks in lugs, it seems that it's nothing to get too concerned about, especially if it's not a crack in the lug itself. Maybe somebody can shed some light on the situation.

Anyway, due to the possibility of a hairline crack, I'm asking £200 for the frame.

    Tubing: Reynolds 531c
    Seat Tube: 50cm ctt

It is pictured with a headset & bb, these are not included in the sale.

  • Built only for the Percy Bilton team of the 80's. The frame in its sizing was probably built for John Herety. A net curtain was used to create the effect.
Will message you as we would like this back in our frame collection we are building along the show room back wall.

Wowsers. You shouldn't have said... I don't want to sell it now! Ha.

I do not blame you! That's a keeper mate!

  • i was also bidding on this on ebay -then forgot when it came down too the last minutes
£200 is alot seeing as you only spent £270 for the whole bike!

  • It wasn't £270, it cost me £315 plus the cost of getting it here. The wheels were knackered and so were the bars, oh and the stem wasn't a track stem as it said.

I was only selling it because I need to raise money quick. There's no point in me doing that if I'm gonna sell it for much less than £200.

  • Can you stretch it to 60cm?

well this has been done to death but i think it's fair to say that just because you get a good deal on ebay doesn't mean you're obliged to sell for cheap on here

on the other hand, if you get on good deal on here then i think it's only fair that you sell it on for a similarly reasonable price.

    simples.

Sounds like a great place it should end up.

I wish it could end up hanging on my back wall! Sadly I can't stretch to £200 for a collection piece that I would never be able to fit on!

  • Did this end up being sold?
