Fucking hell Gerald that's bad news.
I hope it's recovered soon, though I never saw my lovely little Velocifero again, so don't hold your breath.
Bad luck fella.
I'm paranoid about by bike getting pinched, I have a ground anchor, an alarm, a disk lock and a cover, but I still can't sleep if the bike is outside my house.
Mostly, when it's parked up, its in the car park at work, in level -4 of an office block with hundreds of cameras everywhere and 24 hour security standing by the carpark barrier.
Like I said, I'm paranoid.
Me too. Motrax disc lock, big fucking chain, alarm immobiliser.
I stopped leaving mine at home when the cover (that was locked to the bike) was stolen. Since then it's also lived at work, 2 floors underground in a dry garage, in the most secure area of London, 24 hour security who know me and my bike, CCTV, only accessible by RFID card.
