  • From the table surface to the plate? No, I took a photo and asked the Internet to double check what I think I'm seeing

  • no, the depth of the plate.

  • second hand? If so it may have been dropped in the past

  • I'll check tomorrow. Off to bed now, night all.

  • Stop reading there.... sorry pal, that's really wrong.
You don't muddle Mint, I was a cocktail bartender for 4 years...
    Mojito:

    6 Lime wedges
    6-8 Mint leaves
2 tbsp of Demerara/brown sugar (Not syrup!)
    Dash soda
    DBL shot of (dark) Rum
    Crushed ice

Method - Limes and sugar inside collins glass, preferably squeeze the limes before muddling it,
gently chuck the mint leaves followed by the crushed ice,
fill to the very top even if it comes out. Double shot of rum in, get a big (bar) spoon
and use the flat end to churn gently ice/rum/mint. The mint shouldn't break itself.
Stick 2 large straws on one side, fill it up with loads of crushed ice and finalize with a top-up
    of soda water.
    Enjoy.

Oooh a booze expert... Nuknow, can I pick your brains as well please? I'd like to make an Earl Grey cocktail to welcome the guests to my wedding party. So far all efforts taste less fun than... well... anything! Any ideas?

This.^Probably french maker. Very common from the little I know of french frames.
    Another example: here.

  • Does anyone make a nice looking frontloading quill stem?

  • What's the best airport to use for a cheeky weekender to ride up the Stelvio Pass?

What other passes can I do in the area?

The Stelvio is a long way from the nearest airport - you're best bet is either Milan airport or Bergamo, then hire a car and drive there.

Other passes in the area that are worth doing are the Gavia and the Mortirolo. You can also head west towards Livigno over the Foscagno and Eira passes but be aware that Livigno has special duty free status so is popular with day trippers heading there to stock up on cheap booze and the road gets very busy.

If you're there a couple of days then I'd recommend two rides:

    1. Bormio - Umbrail (4/5ths of the way up the Stelvio), descend down, turn right, hit Prato then climb the north side of the Stelvio and descend back to Bormio.

    2. Head south from Bormio to Mazzo, do the Mortirolo, descend, turn left to Ponte di Legno, then do the Gavia, then descend back to Bormio.

  • Who makes good hoodies?

Ideally after black with coloured zip, but nice dense fabric is priority.

  • Reigning Champ is a quality brand for hoodies...

  • I am getting excited about period-correct brake-cable smooth outers, in light blue.

    What's wrong with me?

  • Reigning Champ is a quality brand for hoodies...

    £150 is pushing it!

  • £150 is pushing it!

    :)

Unfortunately their price has gone up over the last few years. Bought a bunch of their crews and hoodies about 5 years ago and they are still in decent condition despite lots of wears.

    Anyone?

I am a big fan of unbranded SuperDry

    Perhaps this one:

The fabric is incredibly thick compared to anything else I have owned.

  • Not unbranded, slim fit and nearly £80!! I'd say that's a bullshit hoody. To each his own though.

I've had some tea cocktails before. Will ask.

  • And Canelé tins. Why so expensive?

U mean the specialty of Bordeaux?
If so = French overprice everything.
