  • Yeah, tees with massive colour blocks look tacky, and also, make you sweat like crazy behind the air-tight seal of ink.

    Out.

  • Which is why I choose a lightweight t-shirt.

Not sure what you were expecting from this

    to this

  • Joni, personally I like the first idea of the pink T with the print in the middle, or at a push, what Jono did with the neon colours (please not neon colours)

edit: where is the pic was in the first post????? the one in full pink????

  • Get rid of the background, use the figure on whatever colour shirt you like* and you've got a winner...

    • apart from Beards/Degeneration brown...
  • yeah, no brown

  • The bigger halftone (lower dpi? idunno the technical terms) made it more interesting in the first print, rather than just a smooth gradient, which might be what some where expecting.

  • The thing is, this guy is a busy freelance illustrator and is doing this for nothing. I can't mess around with his illustrations, that's just not cricket (polo). I will of course ask him but I think he's probably sick of me by now.

  • He won't mind if it's gonna look good... No point knocking out a crap t-shirt, it won't do his rep any good and no one'll buy it anyway... Pointless exercise...

  • Feel your pain Joni, a tonne of people were picky about my tees and asked for London ones then we hardly sold any of the frikken London ones after making another screen especially for them! Don't worry about annoying the dude though, stuff like that really doesn't take very long and I'd do it for you but I don't want to mess w/ someone else's design! Can't please everyone but I'm deffo in for a few when you end up getting them done...

  • word of advice here if you don't mind my humble opinion:
Never change the design based on a couple of feedbacks without alerting/checking with everyone beforehand because you might risk losing half your list!
Mothergirl: people wanted the london map AND the "girl with her bike" not a meaningless "ride london" which I think is why people like myself prefered the black design that still had the "girl with her bike" writing on

  • I had men asking for the london tee not women hence taking girl and her bike off! Quite a few people pm'ed me and the concensus was that something with London written on would be fine for the boys as something with 'boy and...' didn't go down too good. I wouldn't say it was meaningless. Oh well!

  • I really want this t-shirt, make it happen, Joni... I'm happy to chat with the illustrator if you want, it's what I do most if the time, chat to togs and doodlers then give them lots of money... :/

  • I hope you didn't pay for that avatar?

  • I hope you didn't ...

  • I've asked him but I'm not going to pester him. He's a professional illustrator and he's doing this for free so we don't have any right to hound the man.
I was loathed to ask someone to do this as it's what sends me over to the 'Designers, what's ruining your day' thread on a regular basis when 'clients' do this to me.
But he was nice about it and I'm sure he will do it when he has time.

  • Ok, so this bloke is the nicest illustrator I've met. Here's the tee without the screenprint. I don't need to know if you're out, just need to know if you're in. Thanks.

  • I'm starting the list again so please use this one.
