Re: 1950s/1960s Road Frame Round Forks.
Hi Hilary is this frame still available?
If so DIBS.
I am new to this website, what do I do next?
Thanks
Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out another lot of interesting frames. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 - other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.
ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL
Unless specifically described I do not guarantee headsets or BBs which are fitted to frames. With all frames I can fit headsets or BBs - headset fitting costs £12; please see my latest headset thread:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread53572.html
for details of what is available.
Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…
** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. Otherwise it may well be sold to the next person who wants it...**
Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

VIKING IAN STEEL ROAD FRAME 1960s Reynolds 531
Seat Tube (ctt): 23in (58cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
Rear dropout width: 118mm
Wheel size: 27s or Sprints/700C with brake drop of 64mm
Seatpost size: 26.6mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531
This Viking Ian Steel frame has been very nicely repainted and has been unused since but it has a few small marks. The forks I think are not original. Its built from Reynolds 531 tubing. But whatever it’s a very attractive cool frame which could easily be used as a singlespeed or fixed. £95
VENTURA MIXTE FRAME 1980s ** New Old Stock**
Seat Tube (ctc): 51cm (20in)
Top Tube (ctc): 54cm (21.25in)
Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 55mm
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531
This is an unused part-mixte style frame built in Belgium in I think the early 1980s. Its not been used but has been partially built up. It comes complete with headset. Its an extremely attractive frame which could be used as a singlespeed or fixed very easily. £95
LARGE NONAME TOURING FRAME 1980s Reynolds 531
Seat Tube (ctt): 24.5in (62.25cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 23in (58cm)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531C
This is a large touring frame built in the late 1980s from Reynolds 531 double butted tubing. It has braze-ons for cantilever brakes and racks front and rear. The frame is in very sound condition but does really need a repaint. I do not know what make it is but it has English BB threads and will build up into a great tourer – ones these large are not common. £83
OLMO ROAD FRAME Dedacciai tubing 1990s
Seat Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 54cm (21.25in)
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 55mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531C
This Olmo road frame dates from the early 1990s and is built from Dedacciai tubing. Its in very nice condition though it has been touched not too well in some places. However when built up these marks will not be so apparent. It could easily be used as a fixed or singlespeed conversion with its horizontal dropouts. £95
1950s/60s ROAD FRAME Round forks
Seat Tube (ctt): 24in (61cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 23in (58cm)
Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C/sprints with a brake drop of 60mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Bottom Bracket threads: English
This 1950s frame was sold to me as a Freddie Grubb – I am sure its not, the frame number is quite wrong and I am sure its built from Reynolds 531 double butted tubing – most Grubbs of this period are built from plain gauge 531... Whatever it’s a nicely constructed frame which is in very sound condition and would easily be built into an excellent fixed or singlespeed conversion. £89
SCOTT ADVENTURE MTB FRAME Early 1990s
Seat Tube (ctt): 51cm (20.5in), (ctc) 44.5cm (17.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
Rear dropout width: 135mm
Wheel size: 26in MTB
Seatpost size: 26.6mm
This Scott steel MTB frame from the early 1990s will make a great tough commuter frame that will be pretty bullet proof... And the rear rack mounts are a bonus. Its in excellent condition with no problems. £55
JAN JANSSEN AERO ROAD FRAME c1982
Seat Tube (ctc): 54cm (21.25in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 47mm
Frame tubing: Steel aero tubing
Bottom Bracket Threads: English
Seatpost size: 26.8mm
This frame was originally equipped with a Shimano 600AX groupset before I bought it. It has aero shaped main tubes but the seat tube is round at the top to take a standard seat post. Its in very good condition though it has lost some of its decals. With horizontal dropouts it could easily be used as a singlespeed or fixed conversion. £78
M STEEL ROAD FRAME c1990
Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
Top Tube (ctc): 53cm (21in)
Rear dropout width: 128mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 50mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531C
This M Steel frame (it had M Steel decals and is numbered MS107) dates from about 1990 and was built at the time when Dave Yates ran the framebuilding shop for Steels. It had a stuck seatpost which has been successfully removed. The frame is in very sound condition and would make a great Audax frame - it has close clearances for guards with tyres up to 25mm but with horizontal dropouts it will make a very easy conversion to singlespeed or fixed. £85
ORBIT AMERICA ROAD FRAME
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 45mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing; Reynolds 531C
This Orbit road frame is in excellent condition. It will make a very easy fixed or singlespeed conversion. £95
RALEIGH WISP MIXTE FRAME and parts
Seat Tube (ctt): 20in (51cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 21.5in (55cm)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 55mm
Seatpost size: 25.4mm
This Raleigh Wisp mixte fra,me is in excellent condition and could either be used as a sinlespeed or with gears. It comes complete with brakes, saddle, seatpost, chainset, bars and stem – it only needs a rear gear and wheels to make it complete, a bargain at £74
