Rollers or turbo trainer? Similar situation and I bought SopaRiva's Tacx turbo trainer but it turns out it may be some time months before I'm on a bike again.

I want rollers really Chris as they make less noise and put less wear on the bike. They might even improve my crap spin skills?
Love straight at ya big man hope to fixed up soon.

Was gonna say we've got a turbo at ours if you do fancy that.
Also that new hardon cycles place in Hornsey is meant to have virtual reality roller sessions and is down the road from you.
Glad to have you back.

I used a turbo while I was fixing up. Still felt hugely unfit once I got back on a bike.

I have some rollers that arent seeing much use at the moment. I'd be happy to lend for a while, but you'd need to pick them up as I'm carless. They are near Hither Green.

Tom that would be mighty fine of you especially as I don't believe we've met before.
Hither Green is a pretty long way from my home of North London but I should be able to make it down there pretty easily by train or by car.
When I'm back on the computer not my phone I'll send you a pm to sort something out.
Cheers

Looks like you found some already, but just in case I can offer to lend you mines as a back-up if needed, although they are old heavy ones (but folding) and are not especially silent... I'm in Peckham.

Tim - I've a hybrid turbo cum roller thing that I can easily deliver. They require the removal of the front wheel, like a turbo, but have two rollers at the rear.
A quick google fails to turn up a picture, but I can take some tonight. You're welcome to borrow them for as long as you need them.

Has anyone been in contact with furious tiles recently? I've been trying repeatedly over the past 2 to 3 weeks and after an initial response there has been nothing.
Any help with contacting him would be very much appreciated.
Please PM. Ta

:-) All sorted
As you may or may not know I had a bit of a light crash at the beginning of April that resulted in a fair amount of damage to me and has which kept me off work for 6 week but also this has also kept me off my bike all this time and I doubt I'll not to be getting back on before June at the earliest.
I think it would be safe to ride on a pair of rollers if I had some to prevent me from wasting away.
As it's the time off year where most peoples rollers have been put into storage until this nights draw in again I was wondering if anyone had some I could borrow for a month or two?
Payment of favours (clean ones), beers or a donation to charity would be fine by me if it works for you?
I would also be happy to buy them off you if the price was right.
Cheers folks.
