You would have better luck in Classifieds.

Yeah, I agree. For some reason the "start new thread" button had dissapeared so I tried using the new 3.0 style website, which worked but not in the right place! Brilliant. I'll try again

I bought this frame from Hilary Stone over 2 years ago. It hung around in my workshop for ages and eventually I removed the braze-on extras (for front and back hub brakes) and got it resprayed by Armourtex in this beautiful vivid red colour. The bottom bracket has been attacked with a file many years ago, I posted a thread about my dilema as to what to do with the frame. Anyway, I built it up and used it just once for this years' Tweed Run. However, it's too big for such a short-arse as me and needs a new loving home.
I understand this frame dates from between 1955 and 1961
Seat tube: 56.5cm
Top tube: 58cm
Head tube: 14cm
Front brake drop: approx 65mm
Wheelbase: 103cm (to centre of rear dropouts)
Headset: new Modus steel headset
BB: new Shimano UN54 68mm
Stem: fits 27.2mmPics here: http://s647.photobucket.com/albums/u...Grubb%20frame/
I'd like £250 which doesn't quite cover what I paid for frame + painting, headset & BB ~ not forgetting donation to the forum.
Pick up from Southgate (N14) or I can meet you somewhere in town.
Cheers - Ian

Have a bump. It's lovely.
You should've put up a photo with the wheels on to show the geo and clearances better.

It's a sample sale.

Older path frames have more relaxed geometry and some - who seek tight arse clearances - might be disappointed.
Nevertheless, this one is still better thank my road frame for 27" which can't be used without mudguards, because you can stick a fist between the tyre and the fork's crown.Good luck with the sale, as it 's nicely restored. And the lugs are lovely.

The frame is still up for grabs. I'll be putting it on eBay sometime next week so let me know if you're interested.
@Tiswas to be honest, I can't be bothered to take the forks off to have a look!
