Deal. I'm going anywhere any time soon so you're welcome to swing by and say hello. I also have a pin tool so we can do the swap when you're here if that simplifies things. Drop a line when you have the time.

Glorified neon light basically
Now someone please answer my earlier question about watch winders.
-
• #2620
don't need them, unless you have a load of expensive watches. imo
-
• #2621
Bah! You are not being helpful Murtz- did you want any of my spare sets of fat pins BTW?
DMCzone can you please chime in on the winders if you have a mo.
-
• #2622

So a filament with an inert/noble gas.
Or a bulb.

And look like a white middle aged version of Flava-Flav? Umm. No.
So a filament with an inert/noble gas.
Or a bulb.
Technically they are cold cathode tubes as they do not rely on thermic electron emissions. If they were bulbs they would have been called "bulbs" instead of "tubes" innit?
-
• #2625
meh.
Thermic electron emissions only apply to phosphor coated tubes. (Flourescent)
^That valve/tube/bulb has no phosphor coating (it would be opaque) and is only using incandescent light. (filament)
More like a bulb. ;op
Well, it's up to you chaps- I'm in no hurry for the cash or machine, it would just be nice if this watch was on a wrist being used instead of in a bag on my shelf.
Can you two have a chat about it and let me know which one of you will take it?
I'm happy to accept pots of cash now, or our trade at some convenient point in the future.
