Is there a way from Brighton to HH that avoids the big hill?? If not then might roll to HH from the top of Ditchling. Shame to miss out on actually being in Brighton, but think my legs will thank me for it!

Climbing back out of Brighton is steadier and not as steep as the Beacon Road. You shouldn't miss out on Brighton just because of that. And if you really can't do it, you won't be the only one pushing.

Route intersection fail...can anyone tell me if the route actually goes through brixton up tulse hill...I can't see on mobile...

No, not Tulse Hill--first down to Mitcham, then where on the overnighters we go straight on to Hackbridge and Coulsdon, it turns left down the A236 to Croydon.

Then in Croydon it takes the A235 and then the B269.

Ok, I'm on brixton hill, but I'm pretty sure they haven't been this way. Thanks...

That's what the route says, anyway, but they are sure to have got much further by now.

Go to Streatham and follow the A216 Mitcham Lane.
