Just got back, so cheers for the update Nick. SOLD. Hope to put the other on in a few days.
Here we have a vintage single speed ladies bicycle, which could be a pre-war BSA. Unfortunately, there's no headbadge and the nice paint-job is hiding other clues as to the model. However, what is certain is that the saddle is an orginal BSA 86L; the single-speed freewheel is an "Atom" (made in France); the crankset is made by Williams; the reference number on the left drop-out - obscured by the paintjob - may or may not have a prefix and reads something like "53108". The caliper brakes and levers look like BSA components, but I can't see any maker's mark. Hopefully, the photos will clarify things. The bicycle is medium-sized (18") and in good working order. The brakes work ok, but I'd recommend replacing the levers, as they're a bit loose (one missing a screw) and are a bit corroded. Rear hub reads "Brampton made in England". Front hub reads "MW France E70". Anyway, to cut a long story short, the frame is good, the 26 x 1 3/8 single speed wheelset, vintage saddle and calipers are nice parts and the bike works. Would like £65 for the lot, but could split if there are no takers.
