Formation Riding

2x2s, 3x3s, taking up space of a car, making cars overtake on dual carriageways/flyovers etc. I love it.

That is all.

This will come into effect during critical mass! Lets only take up one of the two lanes on the ring road, but really pack that lane tightly!

Surely you could say that about any cyclist though.

Although the Highway code says not to ride more than two abreast we are perfectly entitled to take the full lane when necessary

I have the unfortunate experience of mostly commuting to and from work on a Motorbike.

Dealing with those idiots 365 days a year, no way would I entertain hogging lanes etc.

Nowt wrong with riding two abreast on the road, but from experience you will end up copping a ton of abuse from car drivers. I'd only ever do it in larger numbers, car drivers are a bit less agressive when there's a large group of you.

I find it totally the opposite they get more wound up when they have to naviagte a large group stopping them from getting somewhere 3 seconds earlier.
I ride two up and go single file depending on the the type of road we are on.If a car driver cant wait 15 secs for it to be safe to overtake down a quite country road tough.

We should decide on a colour for each ride too, start with black at Critical Mass? We'll work our way up to denim jackets with matching ensignia sewn on the back

Oh aye, they get more wound up with a big group two abreast definately. It's just they tend to be less phyisically aggressive with their car when there's lots of you
