Just say a big 'vote no' bus rolling down Euston Road.
VOTE YES.

Has FPTP always been used for referenda? I has a ghost memory of believing they used a different system for a referendum.

• #205
I has voted, did the World just change? Will there now for the first time be a slim chance of my views being represented at Parliament?
-
• #206
I just voted too. Pretty quiet in the polling station.

It is a big, fat list, to be sure. :)

Only other people in Peckham polling station were an old man using the loo and his wife looking for him.

Yeah... Mine had a chart outside saying how many people voted in each hour time frame and culminative, when I voted (around midday) it was at 220 and it was empty... It is raining and the middle of the day, but still, not the morning rush as there was last year. Derp, Wale and Scotland are going to decide this m'thinks.

Worrying, was quiet at mine too, ironic if AV brought in by particularly small vote...

it's a proposal to put anti-virus software on every computer in the country.
the tories are against it as they say it interferes with their ping rate when playing Call of Duty with the states.

I hate Americans so anything that cuts them out the Call of Duty loop, I'm voting for.

Cameron's thing in The Sun makes for galling reading. He basically says we're all idiots, the proposed new system is would confuse us. He's also claiming it's going to be expensive. No problem, maybe we could raise funds using the bonuses the banks WE bailed out will be paying their execs next year end?

Parties against AV... Tories & BNP. They are the ones with something to lose. AV will be more broadly representative IMO.
Just voted "yes" at a very quite polling station in Barnet. My second prefrence was "no".
-
• #220
In a lot of the rest of the country the AV referendum is being coupled with local council elections. I understand that London is an exception to this, you would imagine turnout will be higher in areas where there are council elections as well.
-
• #221
My polling station was running the AV referendum, a regional council thing and also the parish council..
When I went in it was just me and one other bloke but I'm in a small village and people are much more likely to vote before/after work.

I'm about to go vote now :)
-
• #223
I voted yes but my housemate voted no, so I feel like I've made no difference :( bloody Tory.
-
• #224
You've cancelled out their vote. That's better than nothing!
-
• #225
And, you know that you need to find a new housemate now. Also a valuable lesson.
