  • Very interested in this. Will have a look at my bank balance, could do with selling off a bass/guitar and possibly my old MTB first, but I might be able to wing it...

Cool, just let me know, I'm right in the city centre near piccadilly station or UMIST. If you do wish to buy, let me know a day or so in advance so I can swap the current build back to the stock build for you (Its only a half hour job but I'm in work till 6-7pm most days, I'm assuming you are interested in it in the stock state) - I'll have a look see if I have any bar tape I can throw in, to re-wrap the bars but I cant guarentee I do have any as I recently use what might have been my last roll.

  • @ Robslow

I don't think that those T2's are for me, that winged look isn't what I was looking for. Will you get any other kind of bullhorns?

  • Does anyone know if any of the shops in town stock foot straps? Like, proper heavy duty Hold Fast types, rather than just power grips?

  • keep pedalling - new store in nq - stock nate's restrap straps...

  • Push Iron lugged frame from GBH, 60cm seat tube c-t-c and 60cm toptube c-t-c. Finished in british racing green.

H-Son rims on Gran Compe hubs, Sugino messenger cranks, Nitto pearl stem, cut down Nitto risers (no sweep, balck brooks tape), Concor/shop14 saddle.

Front rim machined and fork drilled for brake if required.

Plenty of scraps, chips etc. from being well used, but 100% cosmetic.

    £250

Still available? Very interested. Could I come take a look?

Advice please, this any good for polo? thinking about buying it.

  • its a good price, for sure.

disc brakes stop you well, but are harder to fix by yourself. gear ratio will be on the larger side for polo, you'd probably want to swap the chain ring out for something smaller, but that's not a big issue.

I'd ask him some questions first as some aspects of the ad suggest to me that it could be non-legit. Low price, brief/non existent description and the photos aren't the seller's own: (link)

  • As part of my big clear out I'm sill looking sell this Tifosi Track Wheelset in white (I've stopped being lazy and grabbed a few pics). Never been used

30mm medium deep profile alloy rims with stainless steel bladed spokes.
    Sealed cartridge bearings
    Lightweight large flange hubs
    700c Alloy Clincher Wheelset
    24h Bladed Spokes - front, 32h rear
    Flip flop (fixed/free) hub
Machined braking surface on front and rear.
16t (I think) fixed sprocket and lockring included
Rim tape, Inner tubes and Vittoria Zaffiro Slick tyres included
    6 x Spare spokes included

I have never used them, but they feel pretty strong compared to my Mavics so they will easily cope with road use if my Mavics do. The stickers can easily be removed easily if you dont like the branding.

Im looking for £150 (reasonable offers will considered) or if you are nearby you can collect them.

  • Can you put a free wheel on them? I can just about afford 100 if you can do them for that? I can come and collect them too

  • You should be able to, fixed and freewheel is the same thread, freewheel just lacks the bit to put a lockring on.

  • Yes, they have a fixed/free flip-flop hub. However £100 is too low an offer sorry. These are unused £160-190 wheels with added tyres & tubes included.

  • ^ you should eBay them. perhaps?

  • I will ebay them if I dont manage to sell them via cycling forums. No harm in putting them up here to see if there is any local interest.

  • yeah, always best local but depends how urgent you need to shift them. would be tempted myself if I didn't already have more wheels than I know what to do with...

  • No worries

what's the lowest you think you can go? For local pick up. I'm pretty scint at the moment.
