Hells Angels attack rider E&C

On Saturday afternoon a neighbour was attacked by several Hells Angels near Elephant and Castle. A group of them had rlj and when he did a "what was that?!!" gesture (he's a very even-tempered guy so would NOT have been abusive) they chased him down to Bricklayers Arms and into a local park. They beat him up. Luckily he was wearing a helmut, but the 3-4 Hells Angels were trying to gouge his eyes out. Just a warning to be careful. Safe riding everyone

What is a 'what was that?!!' gesture? I'm not sure I've encountered one. If there was an international meet, then these could well have been foreign bikers, and whatever gesture your neighbour made could have offencesive where they came from, or ambiguous enough for them get pissed by it.

All the bikers I've known HA or MCC or otherwise have been splendid fellows, but rather fighty. I would never make any gesture at one, let alone a group, unless it was an internationaly known gesture of respect, even then, I'd probably let it go. They tend to think they need to protect their reputation, are usually hard as nails, and can be as insecure as any other.
