  • oh i didnt look at the prices.

  • can someone make this dress for me for saturday?

  • Just a toe in the water to see if anyone is interested in a Vivienne Westwood suit:

Jacket 50 (39-40 chest), trousers 32 waist. Grey, regular straight cut, traditional fit. £150.

    PM me for more details.

  • worth a punt asking here, any one hear of any newish (opened in the last 2 years) boutiques in London that are more concept stores? something along the lines of Project 3,14 in Moscow or Hostem or even Atelier in NYC? focusing on darker side of high fashion, carrying up market designers and at a high price point?

  • Doesnt really sound like what you're looking for as it's older but Dover St Market is similar to Atelier and it always has amazing decor and interior pieces there.

@ pifko - That dino video was so confusing until about 30 secs in and you see the legs. Bit weird really!!

Hostem opened up on Redchurch st a few months back.

    Think its junk though.

  • In this order (from the cropped left):

    2, 7, 7, 2 , 3, guts, 1, maybe 4, the quilt (7) and then the two blokes 'runnin' tings'.

LNCC in Dalston, started by two ex buyers from oki-ni.

    Layers in Conduit St

Both complete overpriced shite - right up your street

  • LNCC has to be a wind up. It's like some of the stuff that gets to number one in the charts...Who wears/buys it?

    I know, thanks though.

Cheers, are you going to be at men's (capsule) in Paris pisti?

Was going to but can't be arsed now, plus my weekends are precious/hectic at the mo

  • Ah we just got approved for Paris and Berlin, so I'm doing both it looks like.

  • I've got a lovely grey moleskin three-piece suit with an alternative pair of high backed trousers and a linen/cotton shirt from Old Town. They're not tailored, but they are adjusted to your dimensions. Almost everything they make is utterly charming and much of it is incredibly handsome (NB Images are from their site. They are nothing to do with me):

Also, this seems to be the right place to post this:

  • cufflinks? They're beautiful.

  • Indeed! Would love some jewellery like this, someone bought me some incredibly intricate bike earrings for my birthday and I lost one :(

Do you work at Borough Market?

  • the lapels and collars on those jackets are horrid, just sayin

  • Yeah all that's missing is one of those Amish hats

  • I think they look fantastic as costume, and if I was going to be running the wardrobe on a British sequel to There Will Be Blood I'd go to Old-Town in a second.

But I'd just look like a prick the second I wore something by them.

  • i like their stuff but i don't care if i look like a bit of a prick. let's face it compared to the hipster douchbag garb (see other thread) you look good

  • But I wouldn't wear that stuff either :)

I could get away with some Old-Town trousers, but the jackets would look spectacularly unflattering on me I reckon.

  • In other news - where can I get nice ties from?

  • hermes?

  • I had a gorgeous blue Hermes tie that I pilfered from my dad. It somehow ended up in the washing machine an I don't think I can be trusted with another.. :(
