I think I just genuinely cant keep up with music anymore and just filter loads of stuff out!

In common parlance that would be called 'taste'.

An open valve of acceptance would only see you hideously distended and bloated on the musical food of divorced tastes.

I wrote that I am not going to retract any of it (although I am not sure what it all means).

However, I've still never been able to get into Phoenix really not even after a few listens. ah well.

A few listens is normally enough, even if only to suggest that they are worth investing your time in, the chances are you are a gay or/and foreign*

*mind you Phenoix are foreign, so maybe just gay.
