I think I just genuinely cant keep up with music anymore and just filter loads of stuff out! However, I've still never been able to get into Phoenix really not even after a few listens. ah well.

Phoenix are fantastic, **not all of it, **but enough for people who love that kind of shit.
Incorrect. All of it/them.
I was going to go to bed but think I can quite easily have a few hours of Mars and friends.
From early housey stuff in the vein of what they were doing with Bangalter and that french touch lot before Phoenix became Phoenix:

To their classic guitar pop:

To the ridiculous but inspired:

To the refreshing and absolutely bang on the zeitgeist:

To probably the greatest moment in recent music history:

Add to that their sensational live shows and their eminently remixable songs. For my money, faultless.

In common parlance that would be called 'taste'.
An open valve of acceptance would only see you hideously distended and bloated on the musical food of divorced tastes.
I wrote that I am not going to retract any of it (although I am not sure what it all means).
However, I've still never been able to get into Phoenix really not even after a few listens. ah well.
A few listens is normally enough, even if only to suggest that they are worth investing your time in, the chances are you are a gay or/and foreign*
*mind you Phenoix are foreign, so maybe just gay.

Anyone like Sound Team?

Only got into them in about... 2006 with 'Movie Monster' and they bloody split a year later. Selfish bastards.

1901 is brilliant, I have recently been ploughing through my Spotify collection recording everything into logic (allegedly, not really, apparently). . .
Spotify > Soundflower > Logic (or anything with a 'record' button) > Aiff/MP3 . . . apparently. . .
. . and I forgot what a fucking brilliant track that is, nearly missed it.

^ And people say the music video is dead.
Fucking loved that. Shall certainly be keeping an eye out for this Dan Bejar character - if that is his real name.

No, but I'll be at the London show no doubt
Great album, but viciously racist band, it's not that I don't adore racism, but is there ever an excuse to eat your drummer ?
