1st try it. Almost certainly it'll be fine. Buy a £2 half link if you feel the rear axle isn't sitting exactly where you want it.
You'll find a half link in your LBS if your lucky, or online at SJS Cycles or similar.
Chains made up entirely of half links are for BMXs.
