I have a Sabitier 10"chef's knife that has lasted me years. Nice weight. Use it for everything. What are you going to be using it for? If you are a professional I'd recommend KIN knives, they are fucking great. So sharp it's unreal. If it's just for home use, Selfridges have a sale on that the moment, some bargins there.
