There'll be bad deals occasionally. Maybe just sell that lock to someone else with the one key and get another one for yourself.
If it's a Evo Mini or 4 then loads of people have that lock, so if you sell it onto someone else who he doesn't know (or even lives outside of London) there'll be no risk of the next person having their bike nicked.
