Certainly not obligatory, but excellent protection for the head during fixie skidder moments, a great marker as the squad preambles between watering holes, and much fun as they fly off and get run over by irate black cabs, unable to travel around central London.
There will be at least one dinosaur in attendance, so maybe we should open it out to sponge head gear of any persuasion?
