if its a trick bike ur into, then i would say go for 3 piece bmx cranks.... the gusset cranks are good if your looking for a cheaper setup, otherwise go for profile racing or the profile splined specific ones.
Chainring....
budget: Deity splined (i use this and its doing ok for me)
pimpin: tree lite splined/ profile splinedu will need a european bottom bracket for this kind of setup too. they fit english bb screws but take bmx cranks.
ratio.... loook around, check bike checks etc. check tricktrack.org
my ratio is 34:13 and i like it! but i have big ol tires and that makes a pretty hefty diff....
where r u based?

ive got eclat tibia and my god there beast u shud check them out.
I'm thinking of building myself up a trick bike at the moment and would love some advice on what cranks to use.
The frame i'm thinking of buying isn't a trick specific frame (1/8 scrambler), and has a standard UK (68mm?) bottom bracket.
What good, strong cranks are available on the market and will be appropriate to use, along with chain rings that give me a good ratio etc... I thought of sugino messengers, but have heard of some chain line issues with track hubs?
And what bottom bracket is preferable?
Would love any advice, (I did USTFS and didn't come up with any specifics)
