My email to Fullers who run the Flask, that guy was well out of line!:

Dear Sir

I was in attendance at The Flask this evening, 19th April 2011. I attend the Flask most Tuesday evenings as it is the weekly meeting place of a cycling group that I am a member of.

In the previous 2 years I have been to The Flask most Tuesdays, and I have never witnessed any type of poor behaviour from any of the customers.*

This evening, a customer sitting in the outside seating area at the front of the pub started becoming abusive and violent towards other customer (I understand they had a misunderstanding about a bench). The gentleman in question threw a number of objects, including an ashtray, a pepper mill, a glass bottle, and the entire contents of a pint glass, which drenched some other customers who were not involved.*

Once the pub staff arrived on the scene, they asked a number of people what had happened, and did their best to restore calm and resolve the situation. However, they did not ask the violent and abusive gentleman to leave the pub, and it appears that he continued to be served.*

In my view as a long standing regular of The Flask, I would hope that in future, any form of violence is not tolerated, and that customers who behave in this way are ejected from the premises.*

That twat crossed the road just in front of me as we were on our way to pizza. I took the opportunity to call him an 'obnoxious American cunt' and felt a little better with the world.

Good work sir. I was thinking about writing a letter myself when I got home (which I just did). Extremely poor effort on the bar staff's part in not removing the gentleman at the outset. Oh, and I forgot about that hideous woman with him as well.

On a brighter side Simon, never forget the Pyrannian Mountain Dog

He was 65 kg and not even a year old. 4kg of meat a day. Amazing. Expensive animal.
