It is most definitely but it's also shown those who've greatly improved and encourages slackers to practice more (like myself)!

Just good games, we left early around 8pm as the play left us content.
Was that or it was threatening to fucking piss down!! =)

Interesting seeding, from which the following can be deduced ....
Everyone (still) agrees with the Top 5, although less people agreed on the top 2 positions - meaning that Andy was (probably) only 2 voters away from the top spot.
For the middle runners, Matt has rocketted, Lucas and I are actually getting worse (dropped down the most positions), Sarah stays the same in most rankings despite not playing for ages and Rob and Si remain in the same ranked space as they did last time round by most people.
Jess, dont be sad as at least 3 people voted you off the bottom space (or maybe one person voted you 2nd overall ... and every else said bottom :) )
Interesting that less 'points' were awarded than last time - assuming everyone voted - despite their being more 'points' available by virtue of more voters.
And finally, if you were to take Neil out of the equation for a moment, it seems like there is 1 person (maybe 2 at most) who has voted in such a way to completely re-jig spaces 6 and onwards.
.....is my take on the seeding. A pint awaits for the judges if this proves to be aloadofbollix
:)

Interesting analysis statto. One of the reasons I wanted other people involved is my probably flawed methodology, which explains why there's less points in total than last time. Anyone who doesn't vote for everyone effectively gives those people all the same points, which could be 5, 6, 7 or whatever, depending how far down they start.
In retrospect, this has an unfair effect on those people who don't put everyone's name down. I think...
As far as you and Lucas 'getting worse' - you've really just made space for Neil and Matt.

Hmmm, now i really am puzzled in that case. If anyone didn't vote for everyone (and the remaining people all got the same points) there should've been MORE points 'consumed' than last time. That explains the 1 or 2 people that didn't vote for 1 or 2 people. Each person had 91 points 'to spend' but there were more that 91x14 points spent.
Anyway, fukkit - i'm gonna now go buy shite from eBay. Have a nice day y'all.

Nice goals btw

• #985
Ermmm, the nice goals ... are they about the same length as a bike? If so, their transport could be a big hurdle to overcome i'd imagine. Could they be made connectable, all Meccano like? Or is that very question a tragedy for the workmanship that's gone into 'em?

Lets choose teams then...

Yes, can be made meccano like, even thought an idea up to make this possible. Building blocks first though! They measure a shade under 190cm in length.
There where a few crossed fingers bending them I can tell you now.. Aluminium can be a bastard to bend as it can split.
Lady luck likes bhx bike polo..If your on eBay pete have a quick scan for netting if possible, I'm getting some over the weekend.

Yes the voting was well skewed. No points weren't shares out except for sarahs as she didn't include everyone. I used a more accurate method than dans (sorry) however I think I should work out the mode, median and range for each person to show you how close/skewed it was. Pierres analysis is very close!

Release the deets!!

My previous suggestion was me/Dan LJ, Andy/Matt, Fin/Chris who each get to choose their third. Need some way of deciding who gets first pick, though.
Those pairings reflect life-situations (I am closest to being a well-minted architect and practically live in Kings Heath, for example) and polo tournament availability/willingness. Also, I like playing with Dan, Matt and Andy always end up playing together, and Chris and Fin are both hippies.
